How do you play Undercover Maccabees?
Everyone gets a secret Hero card. Spin the dreidel, move around the board, and earn Gelt by answering clues about your hero truthfully. Buy three items at the Store. Once you have all three, get back to HOME and say "I'm making my run!" Now you're allowed to lie. Every player asks you one question and gets one guess. If nobody names your hero, you win.
How many players and what ages?
4–6 players, ages 8 and up. A game takes about 30–45 minutes. Younger kids can team up with an adult, and it's a favorite for family game night, Hanukkah, and classrooms.
Do I need to know about Judaism to play?
No. Every clue you need is on the cards. You learn about the heroes of Judaism as you play — that's the whole point.
What does the Expansion Game add?

The Space Types
Six kinds of spaces around the board. Here's what each one does.
HOME
Everyone starts here. Come back with three items to win.
HERO
Answer a clue about your hero. Tell the truth. Earn 5 Gelt.
"Fought a battle?" — "No." +5 Gelt
SPY
Ask any player a clue. They answer only you, in secret.
You whisper "A woman?" Mom: "Yes." Only you know.
STORE
Buy one item for 5 Gelt. You need all three: Disguise, Scroll, Tool.
Pay 5 Gelt → take the Scroll.
GELT
Pick a player, spin the dreidel, take that much Gelt from them. Max 3.
Spin a 3 → take 3 Gelt from Dad.
MITZVAH
Draw a Mitzvah card and do what it says. Some ask about your hero for extra Gelt.
Make Your Run
Got all three items? Get back to HOME and say "I'm making my run!" Now you can bluff. Everyone asks you one question and gets one guess. If nobody names your hero, flip your card — you win. Guessed right? You're caught, and the guesser takes 5 Gelt.
